School.

Some of us love it. Some of us hate it. A few even refer to it as “jail.”

A new school year offers a variety of experiences for every student whether it is a new chapter in life, or a soon-to-be memory.

Some may be wondering how they would be able to make this school year a positive one. The students and staff of South Fort Myers High School have some helpful insight:

  1. Be friendly. ~ Sophomore Wilmer Peralta Rodriguez
  2. Never let anyone’s negativity influence your attitude. ~ Principal Mathews
  3. Do all your work and don’t procrastinate ~ Sophomore Hannah Dyer
  4. Get a good night sleep so you are not dreading the morning ~ Senior Chloe Benjamin
  5. Come to school, get your grades, don’t act up, and get your butt home. ~ Coach Simmons
  6. Treat everybody with kindness, and get in the habit of reading books and novels. Reading makes you smarter ~ Language Arts and Speech teacher Mr. Jones
  7. Get involved, and be engaged in class. ~ Guidance Counselor Mrs. Tracy
  8. Keep good hygiene. ~ Junior Erin Reynolds
  9. Eat a good breakfast ~ Senior Liz Ballinas
  10. Don’t forget to smile!” ~ Senior Sadrianna Koschney

Take in all the experiences and enjoy the great and unique years of high school.
