In early December, schools from the south side went head-to-head with schools from the north side for the annual All-Star game.

The best senior football players from each school are recruited for this game, and we picked the perfect five to play.

Seniors Trent Rogers, Austin Smith, Cameron Neal, Darfnell Gouin and Jeshaun Jones represented for the Wolfpack.

“I always wanted to play in the All-Star game so it was great to be a part of it,” Jeshaun Jones said.

The final score of the night was 36-13.

They were accompanied with players from Fort Myers, Dunbar, Lehigh Senior, Estero, Cypress Lake, Southwest Florida Christian Academy and Bishop Verot.

Coach Conn cheered a couple of highlights including Jeshaun Jones’ hit on North Fort Myers’ Joe Wilkins and Austin Smith’s 20-yard back pylon catch from Christian Academy’s Kobe Gee.

“Being able to be a part of a team that has players from different schools to play one last game was an unforgettable experience,” senior Cameron Neal said.

We wish the best for our class of 2018 football players as they begin their journey outside of the Den.
